Surrey Artists Open Studios 2011
West Surrey Taster Exhibition

Tuesday 31 May - Saturday 25 June

Surrey Artists Open Studios offers an unique experience: allowing the public the chance to visit hundreds of artists in their studio spaces where they will be showcasing their working practice and demonstrating their creative techniques, or to see larger groups showcasing work in an exhibition space.

Studios are located across Surrey and on the Surrey borders, where there is such a diverse variety of work including print-making, jewellery, ceramics, textiles, painting, wood-turning, sculpture, illustration and glass work.

This Taster Exhibition, the fourth hosted by Otters Pool Studio, gave the public an opportunity to see up close the work by nearly 20 of the participating artists from the North, South and West of the county, to help them decide who to go and visit.

Isabel Hutchisons watercolour of Emsworth Harbour (centre) was chosen to be published on a double page spread in Essence Magazine, whilst Bérangère Noyau's ceramic birds (top) proved very popular and featured in the Surrey Times with Heather Venn's painting of the South Bank in the snow (bottom).
